Whale ♥ 0

animalsneo-japanese

Neo-Japanese takes the classic Japanese toolkit — bold contour, flat color fields, wind and water moving behind the subject — and loosens it with modern line weight and color choices. This is work built to be read from across the room, and it holds that read for decades — upper arm, thigh and calf are the classic homes for it, and it wraps a limb beautifully.

"Whale" — neo-Japanese work — is built the way good tattoo art is built: a strong focal subject, deliberate line, and nothing in the composition that does not earn its place. Animals carry their meaning without a word of lettering — posture, eye and silhouette do all the talking, which is why the drawing spends its effort there. It was drawn by MK Test Customer, one of the independent artists selling original work through Tattoo Art Customs.

What you are buying is the working pair: full-color finished art plus the clean linework stencil your artist will transfer to skin. The preview here is linework only by design — the color version is delivered privately after purchase. Like it but need it changed — colors swapped, an element added, sized for a specific spot? That is what the custom-variation order is for: the same drawing, reworked by an artist around your notes.
