Polynesian Turtle ♥ 0

polynesianrestored

The pattern language is Polynesian: bands of geometric marks — teeth, waves, spearheads — arranged in rows that carry the composition around the body. This is work built to be read from across the room, and it holds that read for decades — upper arm, thigh and calf are the classic homes for it, and it wraps a limb beautifully.

"Polynesian Turtle" — Polynesian tribal work — is built the way good tattoo art is built: a strong focal subject, deliberate line, and nothing in the composition that does not earn its place.

You receive the clean linework file, ready to stencil. From there your artist has options — crisp black line as drawn, soft black-and-grey shading, or full color in whatever palette you agree on — because the underlying drawing was built to carry any of them. And if it is almost right — a name worked in, different flowers, the composition flipped to fit the other arm — order it as a custom variation and an artist will redraw it to your notes.
